Update from Seoul, Korea :D finally!!!

Well it’s almost been 2 weeks now since i’ve arrived in Seoul. Ever since landing we have been busy preparing conferences and doing 24/7 harp and bowl worship. It’s been crazy and alot of fun running around and seeing everyone work and prepare. I especially like the sound people because they really take pride in their work and they love things a certain way.

We now are training 150 people to lead houses of prayer and today is their 2nd day of training on the harp and bowl model. I must say that I am impressed. They are learning fast and the music is flowing quite smoothly I am happy that it won’t be just myself and a few others that will be doing the prayer room everyday. It has been a great experience to watch them grow together and I can’t wait till after they are done training.

Well the food here has been awesome and i’ve had food such as dog soup, pig intestine, eel and some other interesting food items I enjoy trying different things and it’s been amazing thus far. Everyone is doing well and the cool thing about eating asian food is you can keep eating and not get sick where as you eat american food and your like… i ate that??? haha so it’s been an experience.

I met some awesome people here and we’ve gone around the city and enjoyed some shopping and just getting to know the place. The people at the church are very hospitable and they have taken great care of us. We have been staying in the church in little rooms and it’s been awesome. We’ve had like 10 guys in each room and we all bond. It’s been quite an adventure and everyday is something new.

While I am here I have been in the process of looking for my birth mom. What’s interesting is my friend had this lady come up and she’s been praying for me and she felt God was saying that I was looking for my birth mom and that was so right on. She offered to help me look for her and it’s incredible what God does and such. I am anxious to see my mom but most importantly i’d like to know where she is at with the Lord. Though she gave me up I still feel that I need to speak with her and talk to her. I would like to know what’s in her heart and I want to see the life that she gave me. She did an awesome thing by having me adopted by such a wonderful family and I thank her. I know it wasn’t easy but what i’m reaping now I am thankful. The abortion rate in Korea is high and I can only thank God that she had me and chose not to go the easy route. What an awesome God we serve!

Short Post

Well I got back from the Call. After driving there, participating, and driving back I can say I’ve had enough. I am now at the airport and after being delayed a couple hours we are finally on our way to Korea. I can’t say how blessed I along with everyone else is that God chose us to go to Korea. It is going to be an awesome experience and I really can’t wait to see what happens God is o new everyday and it’s incredible to think about what he’s going to do.

Everything that God gives is such a perfect gift. What an awesome thought!! I really can’t wait to go and play music and really reach out to those that need it. So there’s my short little post for right now. Sorry that it’s not longer but time is crunching down

Well I’ve been involved with night watch for the last 3 weeks. It’s been great so far. I have been playing on 6 sets a week and really feeling God stronger than ever. I am liking where I am at spiritually and yes I still have more to grow. God is new to me every day and I like it. He’s a pretty cool guy!

I have started to teach and also learn the Harp and Bowl Model. We have been playing for the last several weeks and each time we meet God really meets us face to face and it’s such a good place to be in. We gather as a corporate body on Tuesday’s at 8:30p and the size ranges from 20-30 people. It’s so encouraging to see a full body come and really press in.

July 12th or maybe it’s the 13th there is a Forerunner Leadership Summit happening in Seoul, Korea for 21 days! Some IHOP leaders are coming over and helping lead a 24/7 House of Prayer. It’s going to be some impacting and I am praying that God really breaks through. We are going to be having 4 conferences one per weekend and we will be focusing on the Intimacy message with the Father and we will also share on End-Times and such. I am excited to see the work that God is going to do. Until then,

The Call 07.07.07 is coming up!! I am so exited it’s really going to impact the hearts of many and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do throughout the service. I would recommend that many of you guys go!! It’s going to be sweet!

So that’s only a little taste of what’s going on. I’ll write more when time’s appropiate. Until then I am going to pray and awaken the groan!!!

Nightwatch…. The Glories & The Pains

Well I’ve switched over to nightwatch now. For those of you who don’t know what it is, just think of IHOP during the day only at night now for people. It’s hard, the first 4 nights were terrible, and then the 5th day after jumping on board with Alisha Powell for keys I was up for 4 IHOP sets (8 hours) Talk about the need at Nightwatch. I basically had no sleep for a day and a half.

At 3 o’clock in the afternoon I went to a church in Missouri lead worship on the guitar. I had 3 other friends come with and they helped out alot. We went to this African-American church with about 40-50 people and ministered to them. I was so worn out from my IHOP sets that it was really hard to engage at the beginning, but then I felt the Holy Spirit just awakening me and near the end of the service we were singing, healing people and jumping for Joy. God is amazing and he loves to do new things to wow us. As I was playing I just couldn’t help but think how Great is our God!

I am going to be helping out with a VBS program late June so keep in prayers that we can really minister to the kids. I think that God is going to be doing a great thing there. I just need to get up on the pony and practice some more!

As for right now, i’m enjoying a 3 shot latte to help me throughout the night! I leave to California Monday so pray that I don’t forget who I am in the Lord and that I will keep going steady! I praise God for Webcast!!

Prayer Movement

Well the last couple of days I have been with a group of about 18-24 Korean members and we have been praying for the nation of Korean and a couple of key points to be in prayer about

Human Trafficking
Bloodshed
Starting of a Prayer House near the border of North & South Korea
Electing of a new president
and more…

Korea is one nation that has been on my heart and I know that God is starting to work on Korea and he’s using us to help out. There is a group of people going the 21st of July to help out by showing the harp & bowl model in the church and leading people during the conferences that will be going on there. If we can get more people in Korea doing the harp & bowl model and even by showing them intimacy with the Father, I know that there will be breakthrough. So that is what we are going to be doing there.

I have been praying lately and I feel that this trip is on my heart and I feel that God wants me to go, so I am praying for provision. If you guys would pray for me also that would be awesome. This is such a great opportunity and I don’t want to pass it up. Anyways, that’s it for now.

Well the FMA Choir led worship on Sunday. We did both services and both specials which went well. As we were worshiping, I felt the love of God on me and about a year ago, I have been praying that God would let me feel what was on his heart and let me be able to express it in worship and to others. This lady in the audience was watching and she saw my heart of worship, but it was more. She told me today that there was this spirit on me and she couldn’t describe it, but she felt like I was showing love to everyone and it was such a great uplifting feeling. I can’t really describe it, but I think it’s God showing his love through me to other.

I think it’s great how God loves to love us! The simplest things he does makes us love him all the more. I can only pray that God will increase this gift because I want to love others as God loves them! Other than that, Choir was awesome and the worship was really good. I lost my voice both times, but I think it was because I sang the alto’s part by accident. I am not sure cause I couldn’t really hear.

Well it’s april 27th – 12 days longer than I should have waited to update. I apologize for those of you who strive to read on what’s on in my life. My life honestly is like everyone else’s life. Nothing new, same routine everyday… Here’s a summary of what I do.

I usually wake up when my body tells me to. I don’t rely on the alarm clock unless I have a class to go to. I sit in bed moments after waking up and I sit and ponder, this could mean seconds, minutes. I then putter off to the bathroom where after taking my shower and drenching myself with all my products I am ready for the day. I go to class and then I sit… Yes I actually sit and do well… nothing. Sometimes I wonder why I take certain classes and why other classes i’m not in. It’s all a game. So moving on I come home usually late at night sit on my bed… keep sitting… then I usually watch something unless i’m ridiculously tired. Last nights choice of movie was this korean drama…. and yes it was sad, though I got some good ideas on how to show a certain someone when time comes love ^_^

So that’s my life. FMA is going well I appreciate everyone there and it’s wonderful so far. Got jury coming up so gotta prepare! It shouldn’t be to hard I don’t assume. Just show them what I know that’s all. I hope I don’t bore anyone to death from this post… It’s boring…. kinda like my life right now…

Well after being on the road for 6 hours, I finally made it to Chicago. After a little delay in good ole’ Streator, IL.

Well I made it in time for youth group and wow, how I missed everyone ever since the conference in Nov. We had a good time playing hacky sack and this korean game where you take a ball and volley it and after the third volley you smack it hard on the person who got in the middle. It stinks for that person… lol darn koreans.. (come to think about it i’m korean)

We had a good worship time and then more free time after. I had a great time conversing with the kids and owning them all at Four Pie (like four square)

When we were in a group of 3 people praying for each other, this new kid that was in our group didn’t know how to pray. I knew he did and I told him that even the simplest of words move God’s heart. So the few words he prayed over me really helped and I know that God is smiling upon him. I really want to see the kids heart change and for them to be on fire for God.

Lee the youth pastor is awesome as ever and i’m gonna meet with him on Sunday to talk to him. He is such a fiery person and he wants to see his students / youth kids grow in the Lord. I respect that and it’s awesome!

Well I am crashing at my friend Tobias’ place. After we raced home and may I say raced, I have to say it was thrilling to race down the streets of Chicago. He is such a kid at heart and I have a feeling he’s a little cocky. haha, I can see him patting himself for some of the slick driving he did. However I beat him anyways, that’s what happened soo far…

Well the end of the week is nearing. I am excited why? nothing special just my birthday. It’s always interesting how people are like after their birthday “Well i’m one year older” I don’t feel it, but yet it’s there. I think that this year has been a good one.

So in other news, well FMA is going as well as can be expected. You know the routine. Studying, Practicing, Praying. It’s going well and i’m starting to catch on. I love my teachers, they really show the love of God and they care for us. Yes, sometimes Sam can be odd but all in all he’s awesome.

I would say being in FMA it gets you out of your comfort zone. Such as I hate speaking in public, even singing. So I had to sing in front of people and after a while you get used to it. I also take private voice lessons and it’s weird when to guys sing in the mirror and use facial expressions creatively. It’s good. So thats a quick update.
